2008 Season Is Up & Running!

Canoe or Kayak on one of the most scenic stretches of the Upper Hudson River from the ONLY ON-RIVER SITE on this beautiful stretch. This magnificent stretch of river is suitable for the entire family. With trips ranging in length from about 1 ½ hours to all day we have an adventure that will fit your schedule. With just the right amount of current to make it fun, this is a great trip for the first-timer or experienced paddlers.

2008 SCHEDULE
The Canoe Center is open for launching 10a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day weekend through June 22nd, then 7 days a week until Labor Day. After that, we're open weather permitting on weekends through September 28th!  Our Canoe, Kayak, and Tubing Center is the only on-river location for river trips on the Adirondack stretch of the Hudson River: just drop in to our Center, choose your boat and head downstream!  Our shuttle picks you up and brings you back for the ultimate in convenience.

Take a ride on the mellow side with a 2 1/2 mile tubing trip down the Hudson River this summer.  Enjoy the scenery, stay cool, relax, and go with the flow!  You and your dough-nutty craft can glide in peace and tranquility or you can splash your partners along the way!

Our Canoe Center is open weekends from Memorial Day until the summer season kicks in.  We are open 7 days a week from the last weekend in June through Labor Day weekend.  After Labor Day we're open on weekends, weather permitting.
Launch hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Trip 1, 10 to Noon for Trip 2.  Tubing Trips can launch from 10 until 3

We can serve over 100 participants at our Canoe Center.  For scout, youth, and other large groups, we offer substantial savings if you reserve in advance.  With advance reservations, large groups will save both time and money!  Call or email us for details.

PRICING

Trip Prices include boat, PFDs (life vests), paddles, as described below.  Shuttle transportation is provided to boat rental customers free of charge.

Trip 1:  Thurman Station to 1000 Acres Ranch

 *NOTE* All prices include NYS Sales tax and are based on two people per canoe.  Maximum load per canoe is three adults or two adults and two children age twelve or younger, up to the canoe’s load rating.  Note: 1 person per tube for tubing trips.  Extra passengers will be charged $5.00/pp for Trip 1, $8.00/pp for Trip 2.

We reserve the right to refuse service for vessels that do not meet our weight/size restrictions or group sizes too large for our buses.

In 2000, we opened our Canoe & Kayak Center at Thurman Station, on the banks of the Hudson River.  We've enjoyed this stretch of the river with our own families for years, and now, with the help of our convenient shuttle service, you can too! Come rent canoes, single or tandem kayaks or tubes and enjoy a great ride on the Hudson River!
